This resource provides some common signs and symptoms of mental illness in both adults and children. It's important to know and recognize the signs so that you or friends and family can get diagnosed as soon as possible.

Conversations about mental illness can feel uncomfortable at times and this can contribute to the negative stigma surrounding mental health. To help reduce the stigma, it's important to know so phrases that can help initiate conversations and this resource can help.

CADCA (Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America) The CADCA coalition model emphasizes the power of community coalitions to prevent substance misuse through collaborative community efforts. We believe that prevention of substance use and misuse before it starts is the most effective and cost-efficient way to reduce substance use and its associated costs.

FPC (Fairfax Prevention Coalition) The vision of the FPC is for a healthy and safe community free of substance misuse.  The mission is to empower the community to understand, prevent, and reduce substance misuse.
